When to change chord
I'm using this approach too... far easier than the step record on the 3X! I've not noticed any un-smooth changes so far. I would have thought the accuracy of Cubase sending to the Pa3X is more accurate than my own left-hand playing live. - are you using Cubase as the master, to send the MIDI clock ...

Korg Gadget and Scene selection via MIDI IN
Wouldn't it be nice of Korg would actually answer this question...
Will they ever allow Scene selection via MIDI IN
or should I abandon my use of Gadget in favour of MODSTEP or MidiPlayer?

It can be done with a .txt file. However I find the Cubase import process is flawed as it doesn't recognize MSB and LSB + PC... it only converts to a 14-bit value plus PC. I have lost a lot of hair over this!! Also I have asked tech support to comment but still awaiting a reply. I did a successful ...

Markers in SMF files
Yep... SMF Mark/Jump points are one of the best kept secrets of modern arrangers (in fact, I think few WS's implement them, which you would think they ought to, as they don't have styles to be spontaneous with!). I'm just catching up here.. I am starting to use Cubase 8 Elements and the marker ...

Re: Step Backing Sequence using a DAW
Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to create a Step Backing Sequence on a KorgPa3x using a external DAW. Pa3X's user interface for entering a complete song is very cumbersome and time consuming. I've been experimenting with using Steinberg's Cubase 8 Elements and their CHORD track, and sending ...
