Im having this same issue with a model 1 kronos.

Also, when i put the pedal, the sounds gain a bit extra release, without me touching the pedal. When i take it off they loose the extra release.

Is there any conclusion for a resolution after all these years?

Yes it's still under warranty.

I installed the os3 again but it's all the same, the temperature just keeps rising.
If i put the fan in "slow" where it's virtually silent, it just rises faster, so it can only work on auto mode, always making noise.

I guess i should use my warranty..!

You have NI Komplete9 and Gipsy (so you know how regular modern guitar vst's sound) and you have the guts to price your "distorzia" library at 140$ Exactly THAT!!! Give me the tools in Kronos that Kontakt or pLay has and i will create Guitars Sounding like NI Komplete or Gypsy...and will price them ...

That's the thing tough.. The libraries in question (and many kronos libraries) are not a porsche.
They're a 96 skoda with a porsche price tag.
