Re: Krome killer?
None of these features add up to a sampler - so if a sample (sans PC) is what you really have to have, then get an FA-08. I checked out the Roland FA and stuck with my Krome. I only wish that Korg would update the software every now and then esp so that the sequencer is easier to work. Most times ...

...Again a feature set like the FA series would likely make it possible to access very good sounds with a very good range of functionality at an excellent price. What the Krome could/should've been. The Roland FA-06/08 workstation manual is now available: http://www.roland.com/support/article/?q ...

Yes it will suit some people well but it still seems it has one foot firmly planted 10 years ago. I had a read and will follow that discussion from now on. Thanks. Now there's no doubt it is a stretch to say that it comes anywhere near a Kronos. But having said that the FA-08 is about as good as ...

It looks like a good board for the price and the FA-08 will be some competition for the Krome but it does not come close to a Kronos. Price wise it looks like a great offering compared to the Kronos with the FA-08 touted at one half the price of the mid range Kronos. I suppose it comes down to a ...

Roland FA-08 Workstation: Krome & Kronos killer
Take note Korg people. It had to happen and check the integration with DAW's. Something Krome is not good at. Anyone want to buy a Krome 61 keyboard?

Make sure you have the meta.img and sample.img on the SD card when you turn on Krome. If worse comes to worse, make sure that the SD card has ONLY the M-1 data (including the meta and sample files, of course) on it. I'm still having trouble managing my F Bank--keeping the sounds intact when using ...

Check out page 166 in the Parameter Guide. Thanks for this. I'm learning quickly that certain process need to precede others for a safer working arrangement. I am actually quite impressed with the Krome and am finding my way around yet there are many things that could make the workflow easier. But ...

Re: imported midi file editing
I brought in a midi file (loaded). I am trying to save the voices to korg's voices. It does it. The problem is when I write the file and bring everything back it is back to original midi file settings and voices. Also the first track is the drum track. When I first brought it in it was a piano ...

How do you save a combi modified in the Sequencer?
I brought in a combi to use in the sequencer and made mods as I went along and now, apart from saving it lock stock and barrel on my SD card I can't for the life of me figure out how to save the combi on it's own!
Anyone?

Re: On Krome and Logic, Drum Tracks and Arpeggios
2) Capturing MIDI data from Drum Track and Arpeggios is stupidly complicated. Ditto everything else to do with the sequencer and any connection to a DAW. You'd think we were in 1985 not 2013 going on 2014. And the worst part about it is that absolutely no one from Korg is there to help! Whoever ...
