So just to confirm the functionality of the mods: The PWM mod is a jack. Simply patch an envelope or LFO to this jack and it will modulate the pulse width? The sync mod is a switch. Engaging it forces VCO 2 to sync to VCO 1. Applying a separate CV to via VCO 2 CV IN will cause wild timbral shifts ...

I think Tito is on the right track ... personally I had pretty good success plugging an electric guitar directly into the ESP input on my MS20 Kit. If you are using a bright sound source, be sure to back off on the ESP "HI CUT FREQ". But if you can't get the ESP to track reliably, try this: Set up ...

My first zero8 repeatedly exhibited the "outputs to random channels" bug. I experienced it on two different Macs including my Mac Pro 1,1, so that largely rules out your computer. I returned the Zero 8 and got a different unit, which consistently gives me the correct channels to the correct outputs ...

Well, my Zero 8 is lucky it's still in one piece. I pulled it a week ago out to test it the morning of my festival gig, and I was going also verify that it doesn't behave like dvelop's - but the touchscreen is failing again, and I was running late. Then I played at my festival, and the whole mixer ...

I checked my MS-20 Kit, serial no 226, by rubbing my finger over much of the screen-printed legending on the front panel with a little pressure. Fortunately, on my synth it seems the printing is on there to stay. Somebody over at Gearslutz has encountered the same problem, and he has successfully ...

I haven't noticed this with my Kit, but I will examine it more closely. Can somebody with this problem post pics?

I wasn't able to get the ds lite screen in and working, may have been me messing up the ribbon cables. Wondering maybe one of the kaoss pads has the same screen? William2, what's wrong with your screen? You didn't say, exactly. The assembly consists of a touch panel in front of the LCD. If ...

Such an informative video. Thank you so much. Just wondering ... what is the LED meter beside the channel input doing when you set your gain that hot? Is it going into the red? Also, did you set "pre-gain"? I just found this document (which I most certainly did not get with my mixer) at http://www ...

What do you mean "all 8 channels" -- does the noise show on the blue channel meters? What does the noise sound like? A steady sound? Popping? Does the mixer still work otherwise, or is all audio gone?

OK, I was panicking a bit: on my unit, the metal chassis that surrounds the touch screen is screwed to the main control panel chassis. The screws are not accessible, so in order to access my LCD and touch screen I needed to remove every knob, and zillions of screws that hold the big circuit board to ...

Hey people I think that Korg should maintain support for this, and all of their products. Too many times I see companies neglect their legacy products and I don't understand why. Are they ashamed of these products? In terms of the Zero8 / Zero4, I think Korg wishes they would just go away. They ...

Excellent! Thanks for the info! Nobody else having problems with it, I assume. Just one of those rock-solid solutions that seems too good to be true somehow... :)

Zero 8 with Thunderbolt-to-Firewire

So I'm trying to plot my live performance gear roadmap over the next few years, and it seems pretty obvious my next laptop isn't going to have any flavor of built-in Firewire. So ...

Has anybody tried the Zero 8 with the Apple Thunderbolt-to-Firewire adapter cable? If so, please share your results!
