Thinking of adding second board to my gig rig, right now I gig with a cp4 but have a bunch of wedding gigs so would like a second board. I have an x73 at home. So thinking either to get a second Kronos 61 or a motif or fa06 or something. Part of me says get something different for variety, another ...

X73 goes direct to QSC K8. For the monitors it goes through a Mackie Profx12. To be honest I thought there was something wrong with my ears or my pa until I started playing through head phones. And the headphones are nothing special, the Bose q15, which I use on the train commute because of the ...

To op: same here

Have an x73 and through my Mackie studio monitors or my pair of QSC K8 the pianos just don't sound that great, through head phones they sound fantastic.

The big reason I went w an X was that supposedly all of the RH3 issues were corrected. Now I am not so sure. Played it in a duo last night and I swear some of the notes would clip or be staccato once in a while. Could just be me I guess...

True that chuck. So far not blow away by the multi gig pianos. Maybe I will get on with them, the main piano in my cp5 plays better, better connection to the sound. Know what the Kronos does better? Everything else. I am spending hours just. Tracing out w combis going tot have a goat the sequencer ...

Gigged for a couple of years with a nord electric 3 and a vent. Blues jazz stuff- Ronnie earle. That combo screamed. Once I started using I always had to have it. It made everything sound so much better cant say enough things about it. In a rehearsal studio for fun we did a tune twice, once with the ...

I think the thing that makes me prefer the motif acoustic guitars is the mega voices/articulation control/cool arpeggio and strum patterns. I am very much look forward to trying the flame guitars. That said I think the Kronos sounds much better than the motif in other areas and I am not looking back ...

Great review of the documentary and the Jackson Browne story is embedded in it.

Sick or not nice job. Did you catch the story of the Eagles on cable? I loved the way Glen Frey discribed how Jackson Brown taught him how to write a song. Glen would listen the brown playing the piano in the apartment downstairs working on a verse for hours on end. Nice job, was surprised it wasn't ...

Try the kvr forum

I have receptor 2, not a VIP, and there are some gee things about it: low latency, sounds really good. However updates are a bit slow to be released and the price compares to a decent laptop.

I have to agree with micky85, the guitars could use improvement, in the acoustic area especially. My motif xs7 had some great mega voices, strum patterns, articulations etc. Notice I said motif xs that I HAD. Yup sold it to finance the Kronos. I will start checking around for other libraries, or ...

I was just having a little fun posting about my hamlet like decision making. On a gig a 61 and a controller would be great, if I were still doing club date gigs all the time I would have kept the 61. But I just feel like I can be more expressive on a weighted action and more creative. When I look at ...

Like your playing and like the combi. Played around with last night. Great fun. But Awfully reminiscent of dx7 fm ep which seems to evoke disdain from most posters. Me? I have nothing but found memories of my dream rig in the eighties: dx7 and roland mks20. Still have the msk20 in its road case...so ...
