Thanks. Reaper should be able to receive MMC messages. I'll try to hook up some kind of midi monitoring software like midi-ox or so to have a look at the messages coming from the Oasys.

Start/stop external seq. via OASYS control surface

Hi there! Does anybody know if it is possible to control the start/stop/ff/rew features of an external sequencer program like Reaper or Cubase via OASYS control surface? Recording MIDI events is not the problem in general. I did try to control the software itself via the OASYS but had no luck, so I ...

Thanks, Hedegaard, I'll keep an eye on it. I have 2GB installed from the beginning and as I said everything was fine. Perhaps it was just some sort of mainboard hickup. We'll see...

Thanks. Then I'll wait and see. It's just because I never really had any bigger problems with my O and I really don't want that to change ;-)

Strange freeze

Hi! Yesterday evening my OASYS froze 2 times while testing and selecting programs. I was playing a sound, opened the selection window and stepped down through the various programs. When I hit OK, the window closed but there were still some parts of the window left on screen and nothing worked, no ...

... that, when I watch 54:41 minutes of Kronos presentation, I am one of those few people, who could explore the features of the *new* Kronos for the last 5 years ! Ok, to be 5 years ahead of time was a bit pricey though  Sure, there are improvements, like usb midi/audio, hard disk ...

Thanks for going into development detail a little bit ;-) I understand. Absolutely, and I believe it is. I assume you are not meaning that the internal file format falls into the category of end-user documentation? No, not really! The only thing that seems to be missing in this category is the ...

Dan, as I said before, I highly appreciate your work on the documentation and absolutely believe that *you* personally would offer something if you had something. I don't want to argue, I just thought, that the different development teams that worked on the parts of the OS would have had some basic ...

Many thanks, Daz! Regarding the RIFF like structure, I'll look into it. I don't think Korg are trying to keep this stuff secret, it's more likely just a matter of resources. ... Wink I do understand where Korg are coming from though, because I appreciate from personal experience the extra effort ...

Re: Any docs about the PCG file format?

I'm sorry, but there is no documentation for the format. Does that really mean "no documentation" at all or only nothing publicly available? Could you explain why Korg keeps it as a big secret? I think now that there'll be no more active development for the OASYS, Korg should be happy to see that ...

Any docs about the PCG file format?

Hello everybody! Haven't been here for a while... but now I'm looking for some kind of documentation about how data is arranged in a PCG file. I'd like to try to develop some kind of library software by myself and the neccessary file format documentation seems to exist, because some people out here ...
