Will the new Vox Continental exist?

Might this actually be coming to fruition? A demo model was shown at NAMM in 2008, and there was some discussion in forums, and then..... nothing. Year after year, nothing. I would be seriously interested in an instrument like that.
Does anyone know anything?

Thanks, yeah, it's at least a bit reassuring that everyone is experiencing this. My connection between the Firewire expansion in my M3 and my Mac Pro was a bit glitchy too. I thought it had to be the software version. It might be caused by something else though. Is anyone experiencing freezing of ...

....and yes I also show the same "about M3 editor" info as you. Maybe the update s only on the core version. That's kinda sloppy on Korg's part. It could at least be mentioned somewhere.

Thanks for the response. Yes I downloaded it again yesterday, and have tried three versions. The cd-rom that came with my M3 actually has v 2.2.0 on it,. I tried that. I tried installing it from downloaded software packages (2.2.0) four times. I keep winding up with v 1.2.3. Very perplexing, and ...

I did try dragging the M3 editor app out of the app folder and into the trash. Same for the two component plugins. I can find no uninstall procedure. (If there actually is one, I'd love to hear.) I then installed it again,. and the same thing happened. I wound up with v 1.2.3 instead of 2.2, which ...

I've tried installing the M3 editor software v 2.2 three times, and the version for it doesn't change. It stays at 1.2.3
Might there be a problem with this?

Thanks for all your responses. I am really surprised that the M3 won't play a simple mp3 from a usb drive. It seems to do everything else. Well, I'll have to use the iPod idea, I think. Thanks asgain, and happy new year.

"rehearsal" feature?

This seems like it should be obvious to me...maybe not. I would like to use my M3 73 to rehearse keyboard parts for a live band. I can easily convert wave or aiff files of the songs, and put them on a usb drive, plug it into the M3, and I can get the audio files to play from the usb drive, using the ...

Thanks for the detailed response! That was very clear, and yeah, since it makes a copy each time, it IS just an architecture you can understand. It seemed like a contradiction to me, because I'm so used to the workstation setup.... I'll look into how to copy and paste timbres using the editor.

Radias: Program/Timbre hierarchy question

(Hope nobody minds, but I just posted this in what was probably the wrong place. Here's a copy as a new topic, since I can't find anything about this.) OK I took the plunge, and just got my Radias Keyboard! I'm very happy so far... It's going to fill every need I had in mind for it in my setup. I ...

BTW, forgot to mention, I am still planning on getting an M3 soon... I will probably even get the EXB-Radias for it. I just couldn't resist the knobby editing of the rack unit, and I needed a "top keyboard" lead synth anyway...so the Radias Keyboard got the "award" :)

OK I took the plunge, and just got my Radias Keyboard! I'm very happy so far... It's going to fill every need I had in mind for it in my setup. I have a very basic question that I can't find an answer for, though. I've only spent one full day with it, but I do know my way around synths. I'm ...

Thanks for the reply Mc. Yeah I see what you mean. Once you've experienced a radias truly integrated into the M3, the module might seem like a hassle. For the price, if you really need MORE Radias timbres, you might as well buy a Radias keyboard. There's only a very small difference in price. The ...

Has anybody tried expanding an M3 with BOTH a Radias rack AND the Radias internal expansion? Is that even possible? I was thinking this could be a solution to the "only" 4 timbres on the Radias....
