I've had the same thought, but it would not work for me right now. I live in a historic apartment building with strict noise rules, so headphones and small monitors are as loud as I can get for now.

Yes, good point. What we spend time on makes a difference, and it's part of my draw to the SV-1 (or any other stage type board). Sometimes my Kronos, as much as I like it, can become a diversion. I can get very distracted by its myriad sounds and features when I'm really just trying to write music ...

I agree about mixers. If I got an SV-1, I'd also use it directly to the monitors. I don't have space or stands to keep two boards running at once. I'd store whichever one I'm not using at the moment.
