I will wait 2 or 3 years and get it for $1,200.00 used at GC.

My keyboard was making clunking noises so I called Korg and they told me to take it to my nearby repair center. ... Korg fixed it within a few weeks by replacing the entire keybed as they told me it was bent and could not be fixed. So, based on your experience and mine, I am thinking that these ...

Re: Kronos Gone!

Hi every one Well I decide that If I had only one year left of my warranty on my kronos it was time to sort out the keybed. So I've sent my Kronos 73 back to the dealer to have the very early keybed checked and then hopefully sent back to korg for replacement keybed. The spacing of the keys very ...

:D Agreed!! Korg help pleaseeee :( From my experince on this very same matter: I´m afraid you´ll need to take your unit to an authorized service center, to see if they can re calibrate your keybed (not likely) or change the whole keybed or even the whole keyboard unit (more likely). Yep, I know. ...

Re: Cause of retriggering / note cutoff?

...investigation continues, more to follow... Opening a "refurbished" K73 and comparing its blue key contact strips with the pink ones in the K88, there are slight but significant differences: the blue contact strips are made of a harder, less flexible rubber than the pink ones, and are a little ...

Re: Any updates still coming, or was this all that they got?

I thought, and I was 100% sure, that a sequencer would at least be updated with touching M3 like features rather soon after its launch, but they made a cheapo synth with such functionality instead!!! Yep. A very historical and repetitive truth. (FYI; It happenend as well with the OASYS and M3 ...

Re: Kronos RH3 Keybed Fix Thread

UPDATE: Finally got a call from the service center. If memory serves, they've had my KRONOS for about nine weeks. Gosh, So its still happening. I've pretty much lost confidence in the KRONOS and Korg, and while waiting for the service center to examine it I discovered a lot of fine virtual ...

The theory from dfahrner is interesting and may well be along correct lines regarding "key bounce" or double trigering. I think Korg rectified this quite quickly….but there are other problems that appear in the hammer keyboards, which has a lesser successful repair history. True, for the life of me. ...

I wanted to report my keybed fix to the Forum ... I have a 73, serial # 1993, and I drove it down to my closest service center in Brunswick GA (Sowing Seeds elec. repair), a 1 hr. 45 min. ride from Hilton Head, SC. ... the tech there, did a great job replacing the pink contacts with blue ones ...
