Ergonomics and Electrical Safety
I've had my EMX for about 3 years now. Absolutely love it. Sure Ableton Live can do some killer stuff but for a hardware machine this thing kicks some serious butt. Now, I've watch tons of video tutorials and read the manual cover to cover. From the beginning I felt this was THE instrument for me ...

3 years later... the secret to electribes!
Well it's been 3 years, 52 replies and nearly 4000 views later since I first posed this question. I've really enjoyed hearing the different perspectives on this one. I've come to my own personal conclusion that yes indeed we are musicians, but of a new and different breed... a band of ELECTRONIC ...

Song mode
I've heard many users trash the song mode... saying it's better just to improvize in the pattern mode. I understand the logic there, but is there anybody out there that actually uses the song mode for serious songwriting?

Keyboard LED's
Sometimes my Keyboard LED's light according to the note being played... other times it does not. How do you turn this function on/off?

Re: Original Electribes' inability to save mutes in patterns
Should I just save up for EMX/ESX? Yep! Actually, I just got a Korg EM1. It doesn't have the features of the EMX and only 2 synth parts but it sounds great. If you can find a good used one on ebay, go for it. Also there's a cool piece of software for it, the EM-1 Editor. You can check it out here ...

Really wish we could muster enough interest for a EMX1 editor to be developed, much like this one for the EM1... http://www.midiweb.de/

Karma or Radias
I have wanted a Radias for a long time. But now I am seriously thinking of adding the $200 Karma software to my Triton Le. It's alot less expensive and (in theory) opens up alot of sonic possibilities. Although I have to admit the Radias looks way cool, but that's hardly a reason to buy a synth. Any ...
