I have never seen an lcd screen failing in 3 years, and I must say I am not playing every day either. The truth is that PA 50s are not built as good as PA80s and high end Korgs. I have the same problem and I am sure others too.
luckly mine is just dim. LCD backlight died. I can still read the screen. I will not bother to get it fixed.

so far, after 2 years of continuous use only the LCD screen backlight died on me. some buttons are also intermittent, must press hard to make them work
very bad quality instrument indeed.

it's good that you re uploaded them to your hosting

kat 2000 program can export pa styles in a midi format
then you can play them in a loop for instance with van basco's KAR player

instead of e mailing everybody one by one why don't you upload to a hosting
like rapidshare for instance?
so whomever is interested can download?
