For all the brilliance in the software design of the WaveState, I find it really hard to get excited about a synth whose sound engine is powered by a $40 off-the-shelf Raspberry Pi. You’re so right! I would buy the WaveState in a heartbeat if there would be an Intel Xeon Processor with 28 cores i ...

What amazes me personally: He doesn't play an instrument. I admit, I don't know much about business and how corporations work, but I'd expect that the director of a musical company which produces keyboards, knows how to use and play them. He mentions Steve Jobs. I wonder, would the iPhone or the Mac ...

Again - because it's not designed as a multitimbral instrument in the MIDI sense! It's a bloody synthesizer - NOT a workstation. You're not asking for each section of a Sub37 to be controllable in that way! Why aren'y you - why isn't everybody? Answer that - and you'll understand WHY the Montage is ...

What scenes? You still seem not to understand it. Some people consider using a Montage 6 with a midi controller. They want some of the sounds to be played on the montage, the other from the midi controller at the same time . I just mentioned an extreme example but the problems start much earlier ...

I'm slowly getting lost here but the Montage is multitimbral from a midi stand point. Each of the 16 parts receives messages on a different midi channel. It is just that those midi channels are fix and correspond to the part number. Why would freely assignable input midi channels on a per part basis ...

Re: Montage 2.0 & Midi
I've read and re-read your post numerous times now, and I still don't understand what you are asking for. Third Midi mode? What would that even be? You have two modes on Montage - Single, which puts the whole instrument into transmitting and receiving on one channel. This is the mode I am in all ...

Well, I actually know that you own a jp80 but you compared it generally to a fantom or a kurzweil. Sorry, I didn't look at your gear list and it was not clear to me which fantom or kurzweil are you comparing it to. It's not such a big deal. I'm 40 now and I'm getting tired of moving anything heavier ...

I wouldn't trade for a Jupiter 50. Yes it IS a capable instrument, but if weight is the issue, I can tell you that the Jupiter 80 is not that heavy. Yeah, it's built like virtually all Roland instruments - it's a Sherman tank -but it's nowhere near as heavy as a Fantom or a Kurzweil. Sorry, I'm a ...

I'm just curious, in Europe, you have the right to get your money back or to get a completely new product if your faulty one is not repaired in 45 days. Of course, if the product is covered by the guarantee. Is it different in the USA? I mean, it's one of the biggest world market and they don't have ...
