Thanks for the info on the MIDI implementation-- very useful... WRT the driver-- I wasn't using a hub so that's not it. And I found using the Windows driver, there are some things that have problems. Learned a little more...
Well, I was able to uninstall the Korg USB-MIDI driver and now the windows USB-MIDI driver is working with it-- including with the editor-- while the editor complains about not having the Korg driver to talk to, at least it works. I was able to get it to "receive all" and save the patches. However ...
