I know there were more than 15 people clamoring to keep IA up and running. Let's hope we don't quickly forget how valuable this place is for musicians around the world.

I thought the same, and remember how much everyone missed IA when it was down. Even a small contribution will help the cause.

It's coming, James. I just need to find a little time to get on the computer at home. Haven't even checked my email since Monday!! At work at the moment, but will get to it asap!! We won't let you down.

Hello.

I wasn’t counting people’s confirmation posted on the forums. I was actually counting the number of actual real transactions that have taken place though Pay Pal.

So the figure is accurate. Which btw… stands at 16 people now.
15 through Pay Pal, and 1 by snail mail.

Kind Regards.
Sharp.

Philip,

I wasn't under the impression that anyone needed to post that they donated. I didn't feel that it was necessary.

All I know is this; if some more of "the regulars" around here don't contribute, then it doesn't look good for the future of IA/KF. I suggested to Sharp that he send out an attention-getting email to that effect.

Lets hope that others are just in my situation or similar, and DO intend to make the contribution.
I sent a big chunk to the Red Cross for the folks in Nawlins, so it's not the best possible time, but it will happen.
I want to give more than just ten bucks, so as soon as I get square w/ Paypal, and can use plastic, instead of cash from my checking acct. It'll be on the way!
Cmon folks, lets show our appreciation.

Cnegrad,

I was hoping that the postings weren't representitive of the total donated so far but if it is the case, and there is a need for more at some point in time, then I'm happy to contribute extra.

Kind regards
Phillip

Hi Philip.

Please don’t contribute anything extra. You have done your bit and it’s now up to the others.

We have nearly 3000 members and easily 15 to 20 times that amount in anonymous guests visiting this forum. People just need to take this request very serious and make that small contribution of as little as $10 to keep everything this community stands for alive.

The download section will be back on air in the next week too.
That will as before easily add over 50 freaking GB of bandwidth alone to our normal usage on the forums. So this is a very serious request.

IA / KF is an extremely high bandwidth usage website. We need everyone who appreciates what we are doing here to make the effort and make that $10 or whatever you can afford donation.

Anonymous guess especially since you all amount to the majority of the bandwidth used. Support us… and we will remain on line pumping out new sound, downloads and all those things you have all been enjoying for the last few yeasrs.

Said it before and I will say it again.
IA/KF is run totally non-profit.

Kind Regards.
James.

PS: the total stands now at 19 donations.
18 Pay Pal
1 Snail Mail
Total = €425.53 EUR

the only reason I posted a thread about contributing was to bring more attention to the need to do it, i don't think people should feel they have to post or admit that they've given or not, it is a private matter for those who choose to keep it that way

folks, this is not a donation for someone else, this is a contribution to your own forum that you use for improving your music with sounds and friendship, its an investment in your own thing. we spend a heck more than this on our equipment, my studio and production would not be half as good were it not for this place

We have sent a cheque for £30 to aid in this appeal, and can we ask what the target is in terms of what is needed to keep this fine site online for another year?

Can we also ask why Korg wouldnt contribute to this effort considering their interests in seeing there products advertised?

Very best regards,
Chick and Jenny, Manchester UK!
