Korg TR or Roland Fantom Xa???
Hi! Need help. I understand that all of you here are Korg users, but I'm in difficult situation.
Xa or TR? That is the question.
On one side is Roland with modern technology, sampler up to 512 mb, 128 polyphony, 1024 patches, max 4 tones/patch, 9 progamable pads, but wthout aftertouch, factory sound is a little bit poorer than Korg.
On the other side is Korg with poor technology (EXB-SMPL, up to 64mb ram and this is just an option). The ram used in Korg should have a better place in museum than in instrument made in 2006. I can only overwright a factory combination, no place for user sounds. ...And great sound, aftertouch keys, SD card support, black color, more compact.
I would like to use the orchestra sounds, leadsynth, strings, harpsichord, pads or some techno sounds.
And very interested in using sampler.

Roland has free Fantom editor software, does Korg have any free editors? And where can I get them?

I was expecting some infomation why kog is better
or why not.
But for now it doesn't matter for next 4-5 years. I'm happy with Tr. I still couldn't learn every single possibility of tr, but I really try!

For the Roland, you would pay more for the same features(except it has the drum pads) running an inferior synthesis. It all comes down to sound for me, and I find more that I like every day playin' my Korg. Get what you think sounds better. (probably the Korg)

Its not about this being a KORG forum or not, its about HONESTY.
Honestly, would any of you really choose TR over PHANTOM X?
That sounds a lil funny, comparing a Trailler (18 Wheeler) with a regular small Dumper Truck.
At least that is the diference between the X and the TR.

I don't like the Roland products, or their customer support. I love my Korg and don't need customer support because of their sound quality and ease of use. The TR blew the Xa out of the water which is why I purchased a TR, and not the Xa. Any other questions?
