I love the ION.....it's a breeze to program. I haven't gotten into all its idiosyncrasies yet, but that will come in time. Looking forward to taking it out on the road.
One of my favorite pastimes as well.....especially now that the prices have dropped on those sets!and watch my favourite Star Trek episodes on DVD

Most of the time a create my own sounds from scratch because synths have now complex matrix modulation.
I have to check, when i edit preset, what modulation is linked to and it takes some time.
And i think starting from scratch is a good way too understand how your synth is working...
But i have to admit using some presets sometimes !
If a preset is good, it is good !!
