I'm in the same boat as a lot of you are. I've posted my questions in other posts. My padkontrol actually works fine, using Sonar 6 as my sequencer.
However, the editor/librarian software cannot connect to the controller for some strange reason. I've tried everything I can thing of, to no avail.
If any one else has figured this out, please let me know!

I all ready format my PC and nothing changed
When I try to install the driver using KORG USB-MIDI Driver Tools
"ERROR: No device is plugged in." will appear

When I unplugged the USB cable from the K61 and then I hook it up to my padKONTROL
My pc can recognise my padKONTROL
Weird

Please help me with this problem

Same Problem, Differnet Problem o.0

I have the same problem, I did accidently a few times unplug my controller in the middle of using it, so on and so forth. So now its "Device cant be recogniced" and so on. Heres why I am pretty much stuck, I just recently moved and lost My driver CD in the chaos of moving. ALong with the fact that I dont use Windows XP so the previous Solution to this problem that was posted doesn't work in my case. My K49 hasn't worked in about 2 hours now, and Im real excited about this new soft synth VST I found. If anyone could help me I'd be super happy? :)

PS. I use Windows 2003 Server Edition

*edit*- Nevermind, it randomly started working again o.0?

Same problem here. It worked for about 2 months now it powers on but Windows and all other software cannot see it. "device not plugged in" is the message I get when trying to reinstall the drivers.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have a MacPro (Intel) and my K61 worked fine for 2 months and now it's not working and being recognized

this is definatly a flaw in the controller's USB section

I'm not 100% sure, but it seemed like the red power light was brigter when it worked correctly.. i'm not sure...

it just sucks to have to go thru the pain to deal with getting it fixed when it's BRAND NEW and BARELY used (less than 3 hours)

Hey!

I'm having the same problem and the pros say that I should reinstall XP (again!) :(

Any other "normal" solutions.

This device is brand new. It works with other computers and laptops without a problem. Seems a software problem or incompatibility. Mabye someone from Korg could say something about this... It's about time and we are lots with the same problem with this devices (K25, K49 & K61, as well as others). Just make a search on the forums on "usb device not recognized" and you'll see.

Please Korg, Say SOMETHING to your users!

You need to give us some more information:

What specific computer/model?

Is it on a hub or connected directly to the computer?

Do you have a lot of other USB devices you have installed/used on this computer? There is a "limit" on the # or REG Edits per port in Windows:

Hi Jerry:

Glad to read your support post.

I have tried so far the keyboard on several other computers and it works on most of them. On the newer models.

My specs:

Computer/model: Laptop Acer Travelmate 3000
USB Devices: I unplug everything and nothing.

I've also reinstalled XP. Nothing.

The information on www.rme-audio.de refers to SP1, I have XP SP2, build 2600, but of course, they say "This error is a heritage from NT and we don't expect a bug fix in the next (or the next but one) service pack. "

How can this happen with a fresh XP install?

Help, please. I have a lot of keys and a big mouse I can not use...

Thanks!
