Hello!

I"m a newbie, just brought home the Pa60 on Saturday, I really love it - I don't know much about it yet, but I still can't drag myself away from it once I start to play. I apologize for asking you, but I couldn't help notice that you seem to know quite a lot about the korg products and the Pa series - I'm hoping that will include the Pa60 - I'm getting the distinct impression that there are not too many of us Pa60 keyboard owners around - since they discontinued the model.

Anyway, I'm just following the basic first-step instructions as they are explained in the Pa60's owner's manual. I just finished creating a set of back-up floppy disks for the Pa60 O.S. and all internal factory data.

I apologize for these next questions...I just don't want to damage anything on my new keyboard. and someone, probably in school, told me "If you don't ask, you'll never know...

What I'd like to do now is put the Pa80 O.S. in the Pa60. One of the members, "Mustang", said that it is possible to do, that I can do it by going to the Korg Site, and that after I do it, the styles and sounds will sound a lot better!

1)Do you agree?

2)And if you do, could you give me some simple instructions on how to go about it?

3)how about those other downloads on the KorgSite

4) they have Pa50/Pa60/Pa80 in their heading

5)can I donwnload those to my Pa60 as well?

6)if so, do I first download them onto my computer-then to a floppy disk- then-to my Pa60?

7)if not, what is the procedure?

If you don't have the time or don't know the answers, thank you anyway just for taking the time to read it. If you know anyone else who might be able to answer and confirm Mustang's information, I would really appreciate it,

Hi ,

I don't think Nejat will aswer you, he don't know English so well,

Let me give you only my 2 cents :

Don't miss up with the OS, enjoy your new PA60 as is,
I'm afraid you will encounter bug problems if you start playing with operation system.

I have PA50 and it is great (although I regrent not going to PA800 directly), still have some problem when installing stuff, I will not imagine how problematic it will be different OS, I'm a software engineer and know it is not safe...

I'm having the worst time trying to download the stuff from the forum download section - Do you have any experience with this?

Did you have any luck whatsoever downloading some of the free styles and other things from this section of the forum?

Man, this just isn't happening for me it seems...

Hi,

Sorry , I didn't try to download from this site, what I have in my PA50 for western styles is enough for me, Im intersted in Arabian Styles and I managed to recieve some of them, mainly by paying money

But, don't give up, keep trying, read the manuals regarding the structure of the files that you need to download and search the net for other sites, also visit www.korgpa.com, they sure have some more links and some more free styles, try them first...
