Broken buttons

Hi! does anybody know if there is a solution for the broken buttons in pa1x pro. the buttons are fragile and i have sent more times my new korg to fix than my other keyboards. it sucks.... i've saw the buttons and they are really fragile... it's a question of time to start to broke. korg should think to get a solution and replace those buttons...

hi,

does you mean the plastic-cap or the pushbutton itself?

i play my pa1xpro now for 3 years - never had this problem and i use it every day, too.

thanks for posting...
when i say buttons i mean the plastic-cap where you push. i've broke already the break and fill's plastic-cap, that are the buttons that i use more frequently and with more energy. the push-button it stays working but the plastic cap stay's untied. i think i will buy the EC5 to prevent the use of those buttons

No need to be heavy-handed...I have broken one myself, and even though I use it often, it should not break like this. I glued it together and it works again. It is not the button itself breaking, its a tiny plastic-lip pushing directly on the micro-switch.

Hi.
It is a bad, bad, bad tiny plasti knob. I use the KB very soft and now are my Start/Stop broken. I still not have it with me on a job, so I am not proud of the situation. I have been technician with organ and KB 34 years now, and have never seen such a bad plastic knobs. The plastic are simply in a very bad quality and are all to hard. Italy are a "Plastic country" so they have to know better

Is the broken part this "lip" underneath the button as I spoke of earlier Kjeld?
I guess one could have put a stabilizer in the middle of the gap, just to make it more stirdy...

We are living in the year 2007 and look at plastic from 1950???
I have now give it a soft glue like a Silicone and I thing tomorrow it will be strong and flexibel. Such a good KB with such a bad plastic

My start/stop button is also broken and I have another button that is loose and will break soon. I don't even want to know how fragle the PA800 buttons are.

Now the glue is dry. I have mount the knob and it works again. A very big job to disassemble and come to the printboard? I hope KORG will produce a better plastic knobs, and it would be on warranty

In the same time I will made a "display lift up" (permanently) for better reading the information on it. More about this later.

Will you please submit some more info and instructions (probably some photos) about how to adjust the display to increase the readability. I'm sure that all the members are interested in this issue.
