Church Bells for TR

Hello all. I need some good bells program for TR. They could sound like real bells in church. There are only Tubular Bells in TR but i need something better. Can you help me with this?

I'm looking at my KARMA right now but there is a nice Tubular Bells in the GM bank 15. If it sounds good on my KARMA should sound pretty good on the TR.

I'm afraid this Korgs are not really good for acoustic instruments. For those, who already own Korg I advice to get roland jv 1080 module. It has great MIDI sounds including church bells. Angello, I advice you to sample some church bells from roland and put them to the TR.

Go to Program D127 INIT PROGRAM ,
Change the ROM to #356 "Church Bell" Now hold down the middle C key. It will sound like the beginning of AC/DC's hell's bells, is this what you're looking for?

Thank you sooo much The Truth. These bells are exactly what I was looking for. They are perfect. However, I need one more thing. When I pull and release key I need to sustain these bells and then they could fade out. All this when the key is already released.

ADSR - Attack Decay Sustain Release

You want to increase the release time and amplitude (volume). It is probably fairly short now - I'd guess somewhere around 5 to 10 - not looking. Slowly increase the release value until it holds the desired length, then increase volume until you're comfortable with how long the fade out goes - too long and you won't be able to play melodies. (*)

Bells are a bit tricky because the decay of volume after the initial hit is pretty quick - you'll lose something on the order of half the volume in a "natural" sound. Because of this the sustain is pretty low, too. If the volume doesn't fade like that they tend to sound really strange. Make sure that the sound doesn't actually get louder on release - release volume shouldn't be higher than sustain.

(*) You could also try routing the release (not sustain) value to the sustain pedal, once you know the release values (time & volume) you want.
