YOUTUBE.COM :Why only oriental musicians for PA1X or PA800 ?

Post by amartinod »

Just wondering why, as you can only see and hear oriental music on Youtube.com for our favorite intruments ????
Would have loved to see and hear what occidental musicians can do.

By my opinion the PA series are probably meant for ORIENTAL music.

Now its my turn to feel offended

In my opinion what makes the Korg arrangers so unique is that they are very general tools - just like synth workstations. You can use them for any type of music with great results. Arrangers from Roland and Yamaha are much more limited in their scope because they are designed for a specific group of users.

Kind regards,
Tommy

When designing the Pa-Series arrangers, we are always very attentive to Middle East musicians. Our distributors in the area are helping us very much in improving sounds and features needed for their market.

This doesn't make these instruments better for one kind of music or the other: simply, it is probably the first time there is true attention to an area of the world that has been ignored for a long time. Pa1X and Pa800 are as good for Country and Arabic, Bavarian and Kurdish music.

I guess the high number of Middle East musicians appearing on YouTube is a consequence of the enthusiasm of being able to play their music with a modern, expressive electronic instrument for the first time. A luxury Western musicians have had for longer, and don't consider with the same joy.

I must add that having so many musicians making music with our instruments in so many different parts of the world, is our greatest satisfaction.

Trammononi, I concur. I would have been offended if you had not clearified. My sentiments exactly. I love this board. To me it is a dream come true. The control I have over my music. Accompaniments that actually have a live feel. I am still impressed after three years. I should marry my Pa1x-Pro. I spend more time with it than my wife. If I can't marry my Pa1x, I wish it would adopt me. :3drofl:

That's not true Nedim, we have only 30 MB of sampling memory to make oriental sounds and styles, you think that's hounest or enough???? you got the entire keyboard to make westeren music, so why do u think that PA series are ment for oriental music????? It took me for over a year to sample my own oriental drumkits and make the needed styles, don't forget the sampled sounds!

about oriental or not

Post by ahmedjordan »

hi i'm a one man show and i have the pa-1x and Va-76 and i do play and sing both Oriental and occidental and i can tell you that the pa1x is an amazing instrument but, 32 memory ram is toooooo small, well i think i'll be buying the Tyros 2 very soon it can be upgreaded to 1 giga ram, you can do magic with the 1 giga ,, dont you think ,,, well going back to the subject the pa-1x is a great keyboard even better than the pa-800 touch wise, voacalist wise, even sounds diffrent on a sound system ( less bass and more mid range in the pa-800 ) which is baaad. and Jano dont be offended if they say anything about Oriental music,, ( can he play Oriental ) if he means bad ,,, well i dont think so he means bad.
