Help! Legacy M1 Won't Respond To padKONTROL Input

Hi. On my DAW, the Legacy Wavestation works great with padKONTROL, but Legacy M1 is dead to all padKONTROL input, whether within a host or in standalone mode.

All preference settings are the same on the two synths.

The M1 does work great responding to conventional midi input from a keyboard, however.

Can anyone advise me what to try next?
