Zero4 and ZeroEdit - problem with connection

Post by Adrian4u »

hi:)

I have my Zero4 for several days. Today I was trying to do some settings using Zero Edit and...

- I'm turning my computer on
- after the system is working (XP SP2) - I'm turning Zero4 on
- ...connecting
- waiting for a while
- turning Zero edit on
- ...and there's no connection between Zero4 and Zero edit - nothing.

I was trying several settings: MIDI AutoDetect, MIDI Korg Zero4 - 1
and nothing - still some eror message...

could anyone help me?

Another thing is, that if I turn Zero4 on with 48kHz mode, there are problems with operation with computer - ASIO driver error...

I think you should be turning on the Zero 4 before you boot your computer. That's what I do with my PC laptop, and it works perfectly every time on my Zero8.

You should also shut down the computer before you power down the Zero4.

Point worth mentioning is that XP SP2 will slow the firewire speed down by 3/4. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885222 for information

I concur.

This is the proper procedure for turning on/off the two components.
I have the Zero4, and the procedure is the same for both.
