What's Your Favourite Styles on the PA800

Post by rikkisbears »

Hi,
just out of interest what are your favourite styles on the PA800.

I'm a bit of a 40's , 50's fan. I'm only a hobbyist, so for me there's no great rush in putting a songbook together.

I'm amazed at how suited the korg styles are to a variety of songs.
Currently I'm going thru the swing & bigband styles .

Also wish there were are few more of the Unplugged styles. They sound amazing.
best wishes

I love the unplugged styles. But my favorite so far is the "Organ Bossa." 8)

Hi Q.E,
I've only had my pa for a few weeks, so still working my way thru the various functions, what does "guitar mode " actually do?

I've noticed the styles that use it like the Unplugged styles, sound really amazing, ie is it an editing tool for creating guitar styles ? or a method of playing back guitar tracks, just quite haven't worked out what it means.

well, the whole process is kinda long foe me to explain, as someone already explained in details about "what it is and how to you use it "
you can look for the topic and follow along...

a short explaining by me :

when creating a style, select an acoustic guitar as one of your accomps and , where it says track type or mode , you select "guitar mode", and now a single key of your pa800 function as a multiple hit or sequenced guitar parts...

for example if you hold F2, it sounds like someone strumming on the guitar and the other keys also have different patterns....in order for you to use this function, make sure to set your accomp to guitar mode !!

on this pa800 page, someone provided a video done by a german dude, which explains alot as well, ..

good luck

Hi Q.E.
thank you so much.
I certainly did not expect you to go into full detail.

The fact that it is a style creation function will inspire me to check it out a bit more thoroughly.

Mystified why I couldn't find anything in my manual about it, then realized mine was the original version 1. I've now printed up the 1.5 upgrade section.

Thanks again
