Anyone in the UK who is not registered at this site please do so. Also can I stress to everyone the importance of keeping your own information on the site up to date. Failure to do this will result in you not being notified if the wrong email address is supplied and any CD's we send may go to your old address.uktechsupport wrote: Ok Mike

I have had a good go of the Ex3 demo.
i think a lot of the different instruments sound the same.
I had to make sure I was changing the sound a couple of times.
I am sure the brass and woodwind guys will love it.
But not me.....
Well done to Korg for coming up with a new EX expansion though. I am sure Korg have the data from research that users where after these types of sounds. Just not me.
Keep them coming Korg, once again well done.

Oasys 88, 2 gig ram, EXB-DI and all the current expansions. VIRUS TI Desktop, Protools Horizons and SSL Bundles
Outstanding!
I also was advised from Music Link Austalia that the discs are on the way!!! well done, also downloaded over net, and upgraded. The demo tells me that the money would be well spent on this one, and I did. The sounds are outstanding, love the breathy sax'es, and the combies, particulary the orchestrated pads are to die for. Thanks Korg.!!!!!! every time I think maybe its time to look at anything else, 10 minutes on the oasys tells me i made the right choice for a lifetime. The quality is deffinately the best, and nothing i have seen or heard to date comes close to the beast.
Making music is a passion, not a choice of lifestyle
At the risk of getting the jazz police riled up the players in the sessions were led to emulate certain sounds/styles. Now can you guess?nottheman wrote:+1 on the praise. The sounds are great. One question, is there a list of expanded abbreviations? For example, what does the JC mean in program G015 - FallDoit T.Sax *JC* EXs3?
I'll give you the most confusing one:
GM = Gerry Mulligan, not General MIDI.
Who else wants to play?
JC =
SG =
PW =
WS =

I've been travelling around a bit & haven't kept up with the forums so I got a surprise today when express posted to me from Musiclink Australia was the ESx3 CD set, some propaganda (my third copy of the current KORGlink mag!
and a cool KORG lanyard (yay, schwag!) sporting the colours of my fav footy team
The install was painless as always and the quality is everything we've come to expect. I really like the sax/string combis (on that note - I believe these ESx3 factory combis are the best yet) and can't wait to next pay day so I can get rid of that annoying volume fade

Downloaded the other night, installed and authorized this morning.Drunky wrote:Jacofan wroteHej Maurizio, I'm from Turin. With my internet connection the estimated dowloading time is not less than 5 hours! Shocked
Tomorrow I'll phone to the KORG italian distributor to check if they send the CDs to the italian registered users
I've downloaded it and if you face problems from It Distributors I can make you a copy.
Ciao Drunky
Still haven't heard the sounds, but all that comes out from MP's tiny studio is thumb up for me.
I suppose it'll take a bit of work to play them properly (I still have to learn how to get an at least C level guitar sound playing technique).
May be this time Korg Italy will be able to let us get an "original" disk package the soonest.
This is an easy task.
So many times they have been gentle and sincerely willing to help but hopelessly un-effective.
May be it's a problem of the "long italian sales chain": distributor, agent, store. Anyway it does not seem to work as it should.
I am still waiting for the announced but long due italian translation of the manuals.
You got them?
