used Korg TR - CD missing - worthwhile ?

Post by nirsul »

Hi

I just bought a used Korg TR 76 and found out I was not given the CD .

Is there anything important there ?
the guy who sold it to me lives 70 miles from where I do.

should I ask for it ?

Regards

I don't have the cd either... I think it's just drivers for the USB that you can get online anyways.

I don't know about TR, but LE didn't come with any CDs and M3's CD contains drivers, editor software and PDF manuals - all of them available for download at korg.com

That's right, also the Voice Name List, and a 2005 catalog.
I'm quite sure this is available at Korg online.

In my opinion, the USB driver is one of the most essential tools you need to work with the TR...

Personally, I find using midi functions distasteful, which I am sure is rare amongst keyboard users. I prefer to do all my recording the old fashioned way...

I dont have a hard time seeing your point... MIDI is a technology that is more than 25 years old, and has not really been enhanced very much by anyone. I find MIDI distasteful too, but it accomplishes what it's supposed to. While its nice that it is a very universal language, i wish it was more user-friendly and faster. I'm amazed that my Korg Triton can't record more than 4 MIDI channels at a time over MIDI.
