My Triton Died! upgraded 1.0.5 Now nothing at all nada

Post by jackasspenguin »

I tried to upgrade from ver 1.0.3 to 1.0.5. Went through all the procedures. Got the files onto my 1G CF card. Pressed the enter and locate keys. Erased the Eprom then Check sum came back with errors.
Now it's stuck there. When I turn it back on the screen is blank and I can not access anything. Is there something I can do? Can I get an updated eprom and put it in the machine? Oh such fun. Thanks for any help. I sent a message to support but I haven't heard back from them yet. Thanks for any suggestions.

Well, I got a cf card reader and put the 6 files on the card again. There doesn't seem to be any other files on the card. They don't appear in the explorer with these files anyway. I tried the proceedure again and got the same check sum error. I don't know what else to do. I suppose I may need an eprom with the revison on it that I can manually install.

If there is anything else I can try please let me know. Thanks

Did you use your extreme to format the card?

I just updated mine using a 16mb cf card. Before doing the update, I formatted the card with the extreme, made sure that the extreme can read from and write to the card. The update was completed without a glitch.
