guys , although i noticed pa800 is just amazing, but i noticed korg used cheap plastic material to build this keyboard..
last night during my performance one of the PADs broke , as i was pressing it, it went down and never came back again.....lol
ok, i did read a bit about PA2X and its also 39 lbs , as lite as pa800, so its something for new korg users to reconsider and may be think about getting a pa2x .....
another friend of mine was playing his pa800 next door, and he mentioned he already has 1 fill button and 1 intro button broken ....lol
i'll switch mine with a pa2x as soon as i get the opportunity ..

I have the PA800, and it seems that to break it, you nead to hit it very hard!

haha, no i don't play hard rock nor i hit it hard.... 
i bought a very nice hard case for it as well, but lastnight during a wedding session we were playing some dance music and i assigned a "orch hit" to one of the PADs and i would use it in the middle of a fill in, as i pressed the PAD, suddenly i went down and only thing i see is a whole ....lol
i believe warranty should cover that, coz i bought it around last june or so, now its gonna take weeks for them to turn around ...
i live around san francisco USA and there is only one repair center here...
god, i might endup opening it myself and fix it...

Sorry to hear about the incident with the korg Pa800. I know that Korg is really bad when it comes to the material they use for their Korg Pa series machines. I guess the only machine that was really good and heavy duty was the Korg I30 and the ones before. Qader Jan, based from my personal experience I once opend my Korg Pa80 and damn....lol the inside is really nasty. I had no choice but to take it to the Korg repair shop to have it fixed. I wish you were here in Vancouver because the guy who works for Korg in service department I know him and he did not charge me anything for the repair.
I wish you all the best and Yess I think it would be wise if you get the Korg Pa2x or if you wait maybe they come up with a new model sometime this year.

opening the pa800 by myself will terminate the warranty, so i am gonna call korg on monday and see if they have a different repair center so i can take it for repair, if they say 6 weeks or so, then i'll just take the chance and open it myself, as i used to repair roland D50, all technic models and few yamaha for friends, i even opened my pa80 and did some repair on it...lol
yeah, like i mentioned b4, the buttons of pa800 must be very fragile to break this quick ..

Qader Jan, not only you are a very talented and great musician but also a good technician and handyman with Keyboards....lol. Bro Jan, believe me when I opened my Roland D50 for the first time to have a key replaced I felt I was in a Italian Restaurant ......lol that is because the inside of it looked like a bowl of spaghetti. However, I managed to have it fixed as for my Korg pa80, I noticed that it was really fragile and it was too risky to do repairs.
I even remember how I once used toothpick's to repair the keys of a Korg i30....lol. Because one of our local musician had broken a few keys of his keyboard while traveling from Toronto back to Vancouver and it was a Saturday evening worst of all he had to go to a wedding....lol. I guess that was the worst because his performance was in a few hours and he said it is either he is going to be cursed or loved by the bride and grooms families....lol. I guess he was lucky and the wedding went perfectly. The Toothpick's saved him that night.......lololol.
