Help with installing Korg legacy anologe software...

Post by souldelete »

Hi people,

Just brought the korg legacy anologe software but cant register the product because i dont have the internet on my music computer, is there a way round this? I registed my product and got the activation code sent to my email address but when im installing the software it wants to take me to the korg users website...when i brought some NI software recently i just took a document to a computer with the internet and then tranfered the product codes back to my mac...any suggestions or should i call korg themselves on the helpline number??

thanks

Korg UK Tech Support would be the easiest solution, however they are closed until 10am Monday 7th January 2008:

The Korg Legacy Collection authorization process can be confusing given:
-- the early versions of the software used a challenge/response authorization system (I don't believe your music computer and Internet computer need to be the same)
-- the most current versions (v1.2 and later) use a Syncrosoft USB Key that holds the license

You DO authorize the software via the Korg User Net website:
http://www.korguser.net/login.asp?OS=WIN&LAN=1&TOP=1

Make sure and read the Installation Guide FAQs:
http://www.korguser.net/Login.asp?LAN=1 ... e=&main=21

Given you mention "Activation Code" I assume you must have purchased the "KLC -- ANALOG Edition" (not the Analog Edition 2007). The original Analog Edition (v1.0) used a challenge/response system. In the original challenge response system (see the "Install Guide for version 1.1 or earlier" you use the "authorization Code" to install the software, then use go online to get a "locking code".

Finally, the Anlalog Edition manual should have information that tells you how to authorize the product using a different computer.
