PA1X Pro - strange behaviour

Post by ashboe »

When I re-install the OS (using Intro 1) and Musical Resources 3.1, the names on the selector buttons do not match the actual names of the instruments ie doolally voices appears in the trumpets and brass, but is actually orchestral hit!!
Anyone got advice? is something corrupt?

Hi Ashboe

I have experienced this - I re started the keyboard and it was all OK thereafter...

If this doesn't work for you, reload the OS and resources and use the "Intro 1" button instead of "OK" on the screen for the first OS diskette...

Good luck

Pete :D

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, I have re-installed the OS several times, and also used Intro 1, also used Musical resources 3.0, a back up on the disk and original disks.
The sounds display correctly on the main screen (ie upper 1, 2 lower etc) and also on the small info above the instrument select, but the actual names are always wrong accross the instrument.

It seems to be stuck in original factory settings, and not allowing me to update that part of the ROM.

To be honest, I am getting fed up with the way my machine is going - the CD drive no longer writes, the sequencer gives up after a tempo change, and now this!!

I am not finding it enjoyable to play or work with as I can;t rely on it.

I am looking at getting a M3 and selling mine.
