Post by dragoncaz »

I'm selling the pa1x pro
and now I want to remove the internal cdrw
It's possible to found adapter case for use the cdwr like usb 2.0 to connect and use in a pc ?
if is true wich type of adapter case must I search ?
sorry but I know only the adapter case for hardisk 2,5 that need only 1 cable usb for connect to pc
I'm not sure but it's very similar to cdwrd of portable pc
where found it ?

and if it works in pc I assume that will be good to use in pa2x too trought the usb por, or not ?
thanks

i think that makes no sense - it´s a notebook-drive and i know not an adapter for such drives to usb2.

i think you should sell this via ebay and then buy an external DVD-burner so the same money :-)

thank's wittid, I don't need to use to pc, but I think if work to pc then work to pa2x too, infact I need for it.
this cdrom was very expensive for me, is the original from korg, then give me the orginal because the others has problem with mp3 record.
and If I sell ebay I got nothing
then I prefer to adapt to usb and use for pa2x, but I don't know if pa2x
read cdrom (not mp3) but normal audio cdrom connected to usb
it's important for me, sometimes people need to play their cd audio not mp3 format. else I need external cdaudio portable and I don't like it
I know that exist slim cdrom external that need only usb cable for work
but I don't know if is the same like cdrom of pa1x and if can I found the only external case like exist esternal case for hdisk 2,5 to adapt it

you need a slim USB2.0 external enclosure just like this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817707089

but I think it's not worth because you can buy dvd-rw instead with the same price, so try to make use of the slim CD-RW with your new Pa2x if you can.

or it can read only cdrom like normal data for set, midi mp3 ecc

PA2X has a USB Host port that you can connect a DVD/CD or floppy, so why not reading audio CDs!
don't know still if you can read the data (sets) from the CDs but the internal HD is enough and can do this so simply!

I'm sure that if I connect cd into pa2x the keyboard read sets, midi, mp3 without problem, because use cd like pendrive or external hdisk
but of course I don't need the cd for read set, no sense, I have pendrive , internal hdisk end external hdisk
But for read audio cd is different from read cdrom data
the sequencer software must programmed for read audio file like mp3 file. like pa1x, that's very different !
I don't know how try it
at moment korg don't answere me
but I'm afraid that don't read audio cd, the sequencer look into the cd only for mid or mp3 file, I hope to wrong !!
