How to store a phrase and assign a key

Dear friends of the forum,
Let me ask you a request for help.

I need to play a phrase of brass, to be used live,
I should activate by pressing a button on my keyboard in combination mode.

So, I was not able to find in manuals of my korg m3m, steps to be followed,
for store a phrase, based on a program or a combination of brass,
to be allocated later and to run through a key example C3 of my keyboard,
also in combination with other sound championships and already assigned to other keys.

Is there anyone who can help me and explain the steps to be executed?

Hi ntrack,

I think this is basically the same as it was on the Tritons - but that probably doesn't help. What you are trying to do is easy, and is in the M3 Operation Guide starting on pg. 107 - Sampling. Don't be scared - just take your time.

I think one of the reasons a lot of these newbie questions don't get answered directly here these days is because they all have been asked a zillion times over the past years. This up side of this is that you can use the search feature of this forum to find these answers - many with examples - on your own.

I had understood the concept of resampling, partly because the Italian Operation guide is not that it has been translated so well.

Agghhhh weak translation can be a problem - please don't hesitate to ask more detailed questions if you need to.

As an alternative to sampling, you can create your own realtime pattern (RPPR) as described in the Operations Guide (pages 97ff). For more details see also Parameter Guide (pages 265ff).

IMO using RPPRs is much simpler than sampling/re-sampling, and since it is based on Midi-data, it can be more easily adjusted to your needs.
