padKONTROL : data dial broken

Post by KrzysiekK »

Hi,

one weak point about padKONTROL assembly is data dial potentiometer. It is exposed so that it can be easily broken during transport (well at least it must have happened to mine when it was shipped). Actually it works as supposed but the problem are two parts of the cover of potentiometer - one is soldered to the electronics and another one is the moving part - these two parts do not keep together properly. The result is that the potentiometer is very unstable which makes diffucult to operate it.

I wonder if anyone else suffer from weak potentiometer assembly in padKONTROL or it is just me.

Thanks,
Best regards

mine seems fine

have you tried using some sort of adhesive to keep the two together?

are the other 2 knobs working fine? they seem to be more exposed to accidental knocks

Thanks. Everything else is fine. Anyway it seems easy to fix, I will open the box some day.
