Have anyone hear from EMC Klaus ? Is he very busy ?

Post by Flemming M »

Hello. This is not only a Korg PA1Xpro asking but anyway: I hear nothing (or almost nothing) from EMC's Klaus. I have borgt there new Styles Factory and it work not correct. And I have reinstalled my EMC Styles Works XT and the need the PIN code 2.

But he don't answer me. It is 10 - 14 days seens he give me a little answer. Anyone who know was it happend ?

I get my XMS 1 Entertainer board in a copple of days, and after this installation is finish I might edit the styles too what I need with the Styles Works program
Sorry my bad Danish/English but I like my PA2xPRO :-)

Hi Flemming,

XT is still not finished. Still no PA1, PA2 nor PA800 compatibility.
Seems to be similar with Stylefactory.
My last contact was about 3 weeks ago.

All we can do is waiting for good news.

I have version 3.11 and I see Pa1X format. Since the Pa2 and Pa800 suport Pa1X format too, there's technically nothing missing.

Hi Sharp,

I have 3.11 too. I cannot handle PA1 OS3.01 nor can I handle
PA800 or PA2 formats.
What I heard is - there is also a saving problem to be solved.
All the known down compatebility is being given of course.

Did you make experiences with PA1 OS3.01 format in XT?
My 3.11 cannot read PA1 OS3.01 styles in batch mode nor does
it open the stylefiles in single style mode.

Hi Choros.

I see, no I was just converting some Tyros styles to pa1X format for a friend.

They conversion process was simple as always, but the results where pretty awful. 3/4 styles where converted to 4/4 styles, leaving complete blank measures in the style. And other 4 measure long styles where converted to 8 measure long styles. Leaving 4 measures of sweet nothing at all playing.

So it didn't go well, but hey !!!. I can easy get around those problems on the pa1X by ending the style. Not that I should have to.

Regards.

Was the former version 2.43 better in this regard?

Yeah it seemed to convert whatever I threw at it pretty well.
I still have it on my old XP laptop so if I do get stuck I can use that.

I'm still happy with the XT edition, but I do look forward for the next update. For what the program costs, it should do now what it says it can. I shouldn't have to edit out measures from converted files.

Regards.
