"Solid Guitar" sampled from PA1x

Post by galettouille »

Tired of searching a good guitar sound to replace the New "Solid guitar", I sampled the 3 multisamples (about 60 very short samples) from the PA1x. If someone is interested I can put a link to load them and the sound "solid guitar".
Best

Hi Alex,

Are these samples replacing the missing Multisamples 198 E gtr vintage mf, 199 E gtr vintage P, 190 E gtr Sberg P2, 191 E gtr Sberg f2.?

'Cause it's a shame that Korg replaced them without any notice with many flat "jazzguitar sounding" all of the same kind samples.

I still hope they place it back in a future Resource file!!!!!!!!!!

mr Trammanoni: please please please, could you order your programmers to do so???

It would release a lot of pain many PA1 to PA2 changers have suffered......

I don't remember the name of the multisamples.

...It seems that most of Pa2x users love bad guitar sounds...
Here is the file. The sound is "Solid Guitar1X". At first user's place.

Thats a little funny and fast judgement...do you really think you have better
Guitars on PA1X then the 2X? You must be dreaming...Prozac?

Hi Nedim,

The PA1 factory guitars, using Multisamples 198 E gtr vintage mf, 199 E gtr vintage P, 190 E gtr Sberg P2, 191 E gtr Sberg f2 do use other Multisamples on PA2.

Of course it's a matter of personal taste, but I really think (without using Prozac) these guitars sound worse.

No bright attack, completely different character.

I miss the clear classic Fender-like sound.

I appreciate the work and time Alex took to resample Solid Guitar!!!
However, thát was not exactly the sound I am missing.

When I'm well informed the German Company www.xprodata.de will supply a copy-protected flashdisk solution for PA2, that must be connected when starting PA2, after that the PCM samples are loaded in SSD-memory.

So I really hope: Xprodata will provide those missing guitars, or, Korg will supply it in futute Resource update.......

Best regards,

What about your judgement?
In a post you said me : "...Guitar sounds need no looping. Its not Sax or Clarinet..."
I calculated the average lenght of these samples, if not looped : 0,13 s. What do you expect to play with 0,13 s guitar sounds? Continue to play with the fabulous PA2x guitar sounds : they are great...for you.

Alex.. I appreciate you taking the time to do this...

It's true that there are more realistic guitars in the PA2X, but I use this Solid Guitar in Armenian/Oriental solos which are supposed to sound like that.

I tried the sound and its perfect, so thank you very much.. you made my day!

@Hi Alex,

I agree with you. Besides, it was no fast judgement.

You, me and others put the PA1Xpro and PA2xpro aside and concluded that the same Sound-names sound different, ánd the list of multisamples (guitars) is different.

Even after hours of tweaking, I simply cannot remake the same Clean Guitar that I love in Pa1xpro.

I did not miss the Solid Guitar sound. As I've no experience with sampling, I'll have to wait if Korg or other put the original Clean Guitar-multisamples back.

Thanks for taking the time, and providing your work to the Korgforum-community!!!!
