i cant find the serial number for my padkontrol
where do I look?

There are a number of places.
1. Flip over the unit. There is a sticker that has the words "Korg Model KPC-1" on it. The S/N is the number in the upper right (e.g. mine is "0000907"). There is a second sticker that has three bar codes on it. The Serial number is the one that is prefaced with "(21)
2. On the box there is a sticker that reads (in my case):
KPC-1
000907
My Serial Number is "907"
