Now here is another newbie question for ya.

For Program A04 - Radias - Motion

There is no V beside the program name yet, it is vocoding. ?

That A04 Radias program does do contain a V beside the name yet was created using some form of vocoder. Could the timbre have been created using Audio in for modulation effectivly creating a new vocoding timbre sound?

Wish someone could explain the A 04 Radias program.

When you call up A04 does the Vocoder button light up? If not, there's no vocoding going on.

I'd check myself but I'm not at home and I trashed the presets anyway

OK, I looked at the patch (and you could too by just opening it in the patch editor or poking around the front panel )

It doesn't use vocoding! It uses the formant waveform and the mod sequencer selects which formant so the end result is the sound of the word "Radias" being spoken.

A great example of some real programming skill.

Well said. I was also under the impression that it was made using that technique. Very nice.
