Korg Zero 4 Firewire Issue

Post by itsmarkey »

Hi Guys,

I am new around here...And have a problem

Baically when I plug in my zero 4 with a firewire cable into my laptop and run the drivers (after a successful installation) it won't recognise the mixer and it comes up with an 'error'. This has now happened on 5 PC based laptops, interestingly it worked on an imac when I took it into the shop but that is far as I have got. The firewire light on the mixer never turns on for any of the PCs when I plug them in post installation.

anyone else recieve the same error? any fixes out there? Could it be the mixer considering how many laptops I have tried? All laptops were running XP, all have the SP2 firwire fix (KB885222) installed... Any help is appreciated

Thanks

PS Have contact Korg Australia - after 4 emails back and forth they just stopped replying...What a bunch of c - u - n - t - s.

Hi there

your firewire cable is just broken. I have had the same problem, it was just the firewire cable.

Go to a store and get another cable.
