If I have the analog channel right down, then flick over to midi, what was turned down, now comes back into the mix. Correct?
Either that or its now disabling the cross-fader assign?
Zero 8 - 'midi' input disables analog channel fader?

When you switch to midi the (analog)fader is maxed internally and the fader starts to output midi messages. You can assign the fader to a channel fader in for instance ableton to change volume. You can still use the gain knob (which always stays orange) to set the volume of the firewire input.
The fx send knob for each channel hower does stay at it's desired position when changing to full midi. Great if you want to use the zero-fx-send effects when in full midi mode.
