HARD DRIVE ISSUE!
Hi, I am having a problem with my pa1x. Just yesterday it was working just fine, but now, its not detecting my Hard drive anymore, and al i get is an error message. Does anyone know what i can do, cause it happend last night for the first time, and all i did was turn it off and on and it worked, but now its not. Anything would help. Thank you.

It seems that sometimes an installed CD-drive interferes with proper functioning of the harddisk (and other functions as well, i.e. mp3).
Search the forum and you'll find some examples. The last time Detlef wrote about this issue was on Dec. 01 2007 I guess, see: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=29939

Robert and Gflow.
What Wittid means is to disconnect your CD-drives (the cable only) and re-start the PAX. At this time the PAX will re-adjust the bios-info and locate and save the hard-drive only.
After the PAX starts normally and locates the hard-drive normally, you can try to re-attach the CD-drive cable.
If HD-problem repeats, you know that there is a compatibility-issue between your PAX/HD/CD.

So when the unit is OFF, disconnect the cable and then turn ON the pa1x? And then re-attach the cable while the unit is still ON or do i have to turn it OFF and then do it?Wings wrote:Robert and Gflow.

When the unit is OFF and the power-cord is NOT attached, disconnect the cable. Re-start your Pax...play around a bit, see that all is normal, then turn off the PAX.
Disconnect power-chord, re-connect CD-player, re-start Pax.
Now bios should have located the CD-drive...see if it works now.

It´s easy.
Burner and Harddisk uses the same bus.
A collegue in Mexico had the problem that his harddisk was not found and the final solution was to build the burner out (remove it from the bus and start key with hd on bus only).
I think you´ve only to remove 1 screw at the bottom and then you can pull the burner out to the front (see instruction manual how to build burner in and do it exactely the other way).
Then start key and i hope your hd will be recognized then.
If that´s the fact then power of - put burner inside and start again.
