I cant seem to figure out how the step sequencer works. I read the manual pgs 24 and 50 but my synth terminology is so bad I just cant get it. Could anyone give me a quick ste by step? Anything helpfull would be cool, thanks.

First things first: do you understand what the step sequencer does?
--- You have two sequences of up to 32 steps each or you can chain the two together for a single sequence of 33-64 notes.
--- Each sequence can be assigned to any number of timbres, but each timbre can only respond to one sequence.
--- The sequence has the following data for each step:
1. note pitches
2. gate time (percentage)
3. velocity
4. trigger (does the step play or not)
-- Each step can play up to eight notes
-- The resolution (step length) of each sequence can be any value from a 1/32 note triplet to a whole note.
That's enough for this reply. Will post some more later.

Yep, I got that. #32- 64 steps or bars. For time-span. I also got the different eqs for each one. I mostly need to know what buttons to hit to start recording. I know there is a fair deal of prepping to record. i have no idea where to start. I fear that nothing less than terminology language 101 and step by step walkthrough for recording can blast through my thick skull.
My apologies.
PS I can sort of now navigate through most of the different effects and timbres and etc...
