In song play mode, using "notes" harmony mode. Latch on is locked, and each harmonized note stays until the next recorded note. Result : you want the harmonizer to play a F# at bar 12, and the F# plays until the next note. If there is no next note, F# plays until the end of the song. Awfull!Rob Sherratt wrote:Hi Alex, galettouille wrote:... a very annoying bug with vocal harmonizer in OS 1.10
Could you elaborate please? I was just using the Pa2x OS1.1 vocal harmoniser earlier today and thinking that the EFX etc are much improved compared with Pa1x.
Problem with new OS and recording MP3 on my PA2Xpro

Hi Rob,
The utility for format the PA2x SSD is here:
http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/software/ ... format.zip
A curiosity...this morning i tried the recording with internal MP3 Recorder and the famous problem is not present...i recorded seven song and not problem with OS 1.10....the only difference is: TURN OFF the MIC and TURN OFF the CUT OFF in the Voice Processor...and STYLE MODE! The problem in the MP3 recording is present with MIC ON and CUT OFF at 120db and SONG Mode.
galettouille please tried this test and report your experience!

...the hardware fault is very very strange because the problem is not present in OS 1.00. In case of hardware fault the problem is present also in OS 1.00 or not?Possibly it could be a hardware fault in just a few keyboards, or ... there could still be a "SSD corruption" problem hangover from the sampling bugs (memory leak) with OS1.0 ...

Thanks very much for the link ... I'm curious how you found it? Or shouldn't I ask that question ?

Also about MP3 recording. I was able to record MP3 on my new Pa2x (OS1.1) in Style Play Mode with the Microphone ON and recording harmony voices and my vocals. The low cut filter was enabled, set at 120 Hz. Also I was able to repeat the recording (without accompaniments) in Song Play Mode, again recording vocals and harmony together with what I was playing on the keys.
Can you explain what you mean by CUT OFF at 120dB? Any sound level would be very painful at 120 dB, since it causes deafness. 90 dB is about the same level as standing next to a pneumatic drill. I believe you mean the Low Cut Filter which as I say in my case was set to the default value of 120 Hz.
Since Alex says his MP3 recoding problem is not present in OS1.0 then it is not a hardware fault. Since I can confirm that on a brand new Pa2x which was immediately upgraded to OS1.1, there is no MP3 problem, then I conclude that Alex's keyboard and yours have some part of SSD corrupted - probably caused with OS1.0 which has a known memory leak when using sampling or user sample facilities.
Can you and/or Alex please try running the Pa2x_format utility, and then load OS1.1 and MR1.1 ? I suspect that if you do this, the problems will be solved.

Hi guys!
Tonight i formatted SSD and reinstalling the OS 1.10 with your Musical Resources 1.10 but the problem with MP3 recorder don't finish!
Any solutions? Wait for new OS or send my keyboard at service centre? This problem it's caused by hardware fault or software fault?
Please help me!
Regards...
Gianluca Balloni
PS:garabed02...you confirm this problem with your keyboard?
PS2: for upgrading i have proceed in this mode....
1)load the format utility and reboot the keyboard
2)load the file pa2x_os_res_v110.pkg (more 100mb) and reboot
3)load the OS 1.10 and MR 1.10 and reboot
At point 2) load the file downloaded at this link:
http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/software/ ... s_v110.zip
it's ok? My keyboard have OS 1.00 for default...
This procedure it's correct or not?

hi ITA_gianluk81
I dont know. Because you know, Its the very very first time I had this problem. Now I am playing with it. I am telling me, may be its because I connect an MS2000R with it and the midi causes a little pb because of my configuration? I dont know. But Now I am recording again and again, if in the day I have another problem, It will be confirmed. But I dont think I will have it. I recorded about 100 times, its the very first time, and my keyboard dont freeze. Its just the mp3 recorder. But I can play even if its freezing.

The procedure is overkill because step (3) is not needed after you have performed step (2). However what you've done should have fixed any problem with SSD memory corruption. I can't understand or explain why MP3 recording is not working for you under OS1.1 if indeed it works for you when you revert to OS1.0. But it's not a reproducable software failure in OS1.1 and can not be a defect that Korg can fix because several other people including me have been giving the MP3 recorder a good thrashing in all keyboard modes under OS1.1 and it works well. You also asked this question on another thread ...ITA_gianluk81 wrote:Hi guys!

The problems you are reporting are not repeatable in other Pa2x/OS1.1 installations, and so can not be "fixed" by modifying OS1.10. Further information is needed from you first. Have you recently restored OS1.0 and can you confirm that your MP3 recorder starts working again? Then could you follow this procedure to reset SSD memory and install OS1.1:ITA_gianluk81 wrote:...confirm that Paolo is working for fix the problem with MP3 recorder (MP3 Recorder crash in OS 1.10) in the next OS?

Hi Robert,
after format SSD (with utility) and reload OS 1.00 in one step (os&resource in one file >100mb) the mp3 recorder works fine and not have any problem in 10 and more registration! In OS 1.10 the problem is present after 2/3 registration! Any solutions?
...the problems affected anothers utent of this problem and one have problem in the last OS with PA800 and MP3 board!
Regards...
Gianluca
PS: Paolo any solutions for this problem? Is technical fault?

Just wondered - do any of the arrangements you are recording use User Styles, User Sounds or User Samples? If so could you email me a copy, together with the MIDI file of the song you are recording to MP3? I will then try to record exactly the same as you to MP3 and we'll see what happens.ITA_gianluk81 wrote:Hi Robert,

If you send me by email all the resources (Sounds, Styles, Samples, MIDI SMF file) necessary to recreate one of your songs, then I'll try to record it to MP3 on my Pa2x. You'll need to record everything as an SMF file on the sequencer first. I hope I will be able to recreate the problem and then I can look into it in more detail.

Hi Robert,
many thanks for your help for me but i don't use any sample, any custom sounds or styles for my test. Simple...format the ssd, load the OS&MR in the same file (more 100mb) and test the mp3 recorder with identical 10 midi files. With OS 1.00 10 records without problems...same settings but in OS 1.10 mp3 recorder crash after 2/5 records and the problem present with another midi files. The midi files loading from USBPen connect on frontal panel and in this pen recording the mp3 files used for my test.
PS: (out topic)...During update the OS i see the abnormal step. If the OS&MR (more 100mb) file put in USBPen when load in SYSTEM UPDATE i have problem beause the file corrupted or not valid (i have error message). If same file put in the internal HD of my keyboard the file is valid and not corrupted and the SYSTEM UPDATE continuing without problem. Any idea of this problem?

Send me the 10 MIDI files and I will try recording them to MP3 on my Pa2x. If there is any recording problem I will try to diagnose exactly where the failure lies. I am concerned at the error message you received when doing the OS1.1 upgrade from USB. It may indicate a bad download.
