Help me please (pa800) :((
Hi every one
I have a BIG question
How can I change the chords when I'm using guitar mode on pa800
I mean when I'm recording new style in one of the ACC tracks which is chose as gtr track if I put for example C Maj for the key chord, the chord which will be played is just C Maj and if in my intro it is changed in this track it will not be changed...
Example: in Acc mode for piano you can set the Key to C and Chord to Maj but you can play any other chords as you want but for guitar track you will have just note and chords of C Maj and no more how can I change it during recordin?
for example if My chords where: Am, Dm, G, F, Am what shall I do for the guitar track to play the chords?
Thank you

Hi Faraz,
record your intro 1 on your guitar mode track.
Just record your strums or whatever it is you're recording.
When you've finished recording your bars,
Press Menu Button & choose event edit for your Guitar mode track.
Just say you've got 4 bars & your chord progression is
Bar 1 Am
Bar2 Dm
Bar3 G
Bar 4 Beat 1 & 2 F Beat 3&4 Am
(event 1) (event 2)
Bar 1 1st beat of the bar note A-1 velocity of 8
Bar 2 1st beat of the bar note D-1 velocity of 8
Bar 3 1st beat of the bar note G-1 velocity of 1
Bar 4 1st beat of the bar note F-1 velocity of 1
Bar 4 3rd beat of the bar note A-1 velocity of 8
Once you've added these notes yyou should have a chord progression.
The table I'm working from is on page 6 of the 1.51 Upgrade Manual, bottom right hand side.
best wishes

Faraz, you dont have to ask the same question 16 times in 16 new topics.
Read this here you have an easier way of changing the chords:

Thank you nadim jan
Hi nedim
first of all thank you for our responsibility but the problem for the 1st question is that when you change the key for a track the whole accord which is played in that track will be changed not just a bar for example if your intro on intro1 section has 4 bars and you would play Am in 1st bar Bm in 2nd bar E in 3rd bar and G in 4th bar, How is it possible to change the key nedim jan?
The key can be choosed for the whole track no for each bar of track...
unfortunately there is no possibility to do that and I checked it before this...
And I posted the same topic in different places because almost no one could help me and no one could give me a guide...
I am just looking for someone who can help me...
I know that may be my questions are so stupid and annoying but I have still question about this problem and I am so sorry for sending same questions...
Thank you for your help nedim jan
Take care
best regards

As for that then no, there is no possibility. And the problem for that is that
many of you in here missunderstood the Guitar Mode and expect some
miracles...thats why there was so many topics on Guitar Mode which made
no sense at all...first you have to understand what Guitar Mode is and then
using your own LOGIC you'll know whats possible or whats not, same as
that Guitar Mode cannot be implemented in Real Time...thats all about it!

Just a BIG question
I am sorry nedim but Who forced you to answer me
it seems that you misunderstood because if you spend time for what you paid for you will see that the manufacture used this ability without any miracle or wizard or ... in their styles which are preloaded in pa800
If you feel that my questions do not make sens for you you can choose another topic to read about... (there are more than 7000 topics... wide choice)
THANKS A LOT

1. None forced me to answer, i did it on my own and i will again.
2. You didnt pay for what you asking, you got Guitar Mode long
after you bought PA800. Guitar Mode is not meant to do that and
it wont in the future either, which means you paid only for what
it does right now, KORGs technicians are not magicians to do some
miracles for things which are not possible.
3. I didnt say only your question was senseless, there was many
like this which ARE NOT POSSIBLE!
Thats why i said people first have to understand the concept of
Guitar Mode and how it works and then you'll realize that i am right
but not till then, right now you think Guitar Mode can do anything and
you have every right to do so...until you learn the concept.
If i wanna say something, correct someone, or correct some missinfo
that doesnt make me arogant or allknowing, there is only ONE ALLKNOWING
and he is none of us 6 billion or so people on this planet.

Re: again question
Hi faraz,
this is only for intro & ending where a chord progression is involved .
where you've got your first note @ M 001.01.181
Press the INSERT icon it should insert a note ( doesn't matter what note as you're going to change it)
just say you want the first bar of the intro to be a Am
change the note you've inserted to
(Value 1) to A-1 (note)
(Value 2) to 8 (velocity)
Lenght just leave as is
just say your next chord progression change is at bar 2 M 002.01.181
you want the next bar of the intro to be F major
change the note you've inserted to
(Value 1) to F-1 (note)
(Value 2) to 1 (velocity)
Lenght just leave as is
then when you need to change to the next chord progression insert another note exactly where the chord needs to change, & do the above except follow the table in the 1.51 manual.
Also make sure that you've picked the correct key /chord for your chord progression ( page7 1.51 upgrade manual).
Hope this makes it a bit clearer. If I'm still not making sense let me know.
The guitar mode is quite an amazing function. The chord progression for the intro & ending is a bit confusing at first.
best wishes
