I usually love these kinds of toys, but when it runs on battery and doesn't have midi..? Then it's a toy that will collect more dust than attention.. :(

i'm guessing that if the kaossilator does well, which it looks like it's on its way to doing, i'm betting something similar to the KP3 will come out that will have midi on it and have some more pro features

i picked one up yesterday and it's pure joy. i've already started using it on a house track that i was working on - it added a wicked lead synth part, a new extra bass thing and i used it for a bunch of wooshy sfx. just to give you an example about how useful it is out of the box. i'm going to add the mini-KP and i think the two of them are going to be very useful for a bunch of different things - especially for live performance. when i first unboxed it and started playing with it i was wondering if the novelty would wear off fast, but then i ran it into cubase and was like wow!

They are hard to get hold of, but I managed to order one from Japan.
The Kaossilator + AC adapter + shipping = 22 000 JPY円 (circa 210 US$)..
I could not help myself, heeh.. The Devil told me to do it

ha right on maako. i want to find an adapter that will power the kaossilator and the mini-kp off the same outlet since they're both low power devices. does anyone think such a thing exists?

you cannot store information on the kaossilator(i.e you cannot switch it off and recall a pattern you made some time ago)
