saving songs from TR to computer

Can someone tell me how to transfer or save the songs i have created in my TR to the computer?..Is it through the SD card or is it through the USB port? If in USB Port, do i need any additional cables? Please help me because i want to let my bandmates listen my compositions.

If it's the audio you want to capture and play for the band, I recommend either bringing your TR to practice and plugging your keyboard into an amp or PA or recording the audio out from your TR directly into your computer.

How can I record this audio to my computer? what cables do i need? how to connect?

I recomend a usb sound card like the US 122 and use a audio cable into a program like cubase.

An easy way to do what you want is to connect audio cables from your TR to the line in on your computer. If it is only for demo purposes this method will give acceptable results.

Record it directly into the free Audacity software program which can be downloaded from their website.

It can then be played back through the computer or exported as a WAV file and burned to a CD.

I was under the impression that you could just hook up the TR to the computer with USB and transfer the song. Is this false?

I'm a noob. What's the difference? Can you listen to midi on the computer?

Yes, you can listen to midi on the computer.

An easy way to do this is to save sequences onto your SD card and then load them into your computer via the card reader slot. (The USB midi cable does the same thing). You would load them into a program such as Cakewalk Music Creator, etc. You will end up with midi tracks. They are playable but only through your sound card synth or general midi sounds. You will not hear the original sounds of the TR.

The original sounds of the TR are preserved if you use audio cables between the TR and the computer and record into a program such as the free Audacity software.
