Activate sounds with the switches

Post by pauturvalles »

Well, I have a combi with 3 sounds: strings, brass and piano. Can I get the piano sound when I press one switch and the brass sound when I press the second switch? So, it's possible to pull on or pull off a sound with the switches?

I think it is better to create separate combinations for each sound and to switch between then.

What kind of switch are you talking about using? If it is a midi pedal, then it would be very easy to use it to switch between separate combinations rather than switch to different patches within the same combination.

If you are only looking to have a single voice for each sound, then you should use the Program function instead.

I think he means having a Combi with 3 sounds, where pressing SW1/2 would swap 'active' ones.. if I got it right. However I'm clueless how to do that, if it's possible.

That's it. Actually, what I really want to do is getting harmonics with the switches. Let's say, I have my lead sound, another sound transposed +7 and another one transposed +12. I would like to have always the first sound activated, and when I press SW1, the second, and if I press SW2, the third. So I can "play" with the harmonics of the lead switching between the second and the third sounds.

The problem is that I have no idea about how to do it! :?
Sorry for my English again... I hope that this time you understand me

It is possible for sure!
Let's say you have COMBI with programs A000 - main sound, A001 - +7, A002 - +12.
You should edit programs A001 and A002. You should set their volume to 0. Then set switches to control volume in these programs.
Sorry, I have no time now for looking through user's manual to find how exactly it is done. (I'm heading for a gig now :verycool:)
If you will have any questions I can help you with exact answer later...

I would really be extremely easier to just write them to consecutive banks. Then you just press + or - to get to them...

I think that you have not unterstood me. I'm spanish, so it's normal :D

What I want to do is to activate and turn off some sounds in the same combi, so that I can activate some of them or I can turn the off, and activate anothers. I don't want to have different programs or combis for that, because sometimes I would have to jump two banks, or two combis or programs. If I can do that with the switches, I only have to press the SW1, or the SW2, or maybe only the first, or maybe only the 2nd, or maybe both

Another great idea would be if I could bring the harmonics with the knobs. For example, in a lead sound, when I turn the first knob, get a 3rd, when I move the second, get a 5th, when I move the third, an octave... ¿Would it be possible?
