Triton LE Bank D Error... Please Help!!!

Post by Neomajic »

Ok, so i read and read and read. Newb to this so I don't want to screw it up. I am pretty technical so it seemed to make sense.

I get brave enough to try and load a sound...i try and it seems to work, but not sure.... lets try a few different sounds, ahhh, noooo, what did I do or what did IT do??????

Ok there's the rant, My Bank D, 64-126 are not accessible. I can go to sound 127, it is named something wierd but as soon as I switch to 126 or come up from the bottom at # 64 the screen goes screwy (jumbled text all over) and the machine locks up.

I can restart and all is fine as long as I don't go into "program" and D bank #'s 64 to 126. 127 is accessible but no sound.

I am guessing this is programing since i beleive 64 - 127 is for loading samples. Is there a way to reset or reload factory?

PLEASE, I beg of you rocket scientists (those who have worked this pain before and know a simple fix), please help!!!

Thanks all. :?

You can reload the factory data from GLOBAL.

Click "GLOBAL", then "UTILITY" and select "Load Preload..." from there.

Sorry, thought it was deeper than that and apparently is... been there, done that, no fix!

I have loaded the "load global settings" & even tried the "Load preload/demo data"... no luck.

I have also tried to load a different sample that I know works thinking maybe the file I was loading was corrupt or something, no good, still the same result each time. Banks a, b c all work fine. Bank D works from 1-63 but as soon as I enter 64 and up or 127 and down - jumbled text and whole machine locks up...on/off all back.

Anyone out there have any suggestions, I am pulling hair now, lol.

further....Correct me if i'm wrong but it appears the factory data is fine. Its the data in 64 - 127 in Bank d that obviously is having a problem.

Is there a way for me to delete that data or load something there?

Too new to this whole thing to figure it our and the manual isn't that helpful.

Thanks all

Grab http://acn.waw.pl/vanyel/temp/DEFAULT.PCG - pop it on your card, and load it via "MEDIA" -> UTILITY -> "Load Selected" button. See if it helps.. Somehow I dislike the fact that it's precisely 64-127, sounds kinda like a memory fault.

Added RAM has nothing to do with your basic set-up AFAIK.

If loading the DEFAULT.PCG doesn't work, open the .PCG file in your LE, open Program/Bank/pick any sound, and try to load it to Bank D to any position from 64 to 127 and see what it says.

Tiayviel,

A big thanks... so far :)

that default worked, however it isn't the default I had. Was that the original Triton LE progs?

If it was then Mine had been modifed. All banks work now. With the exception of any sound that has to do with MF piano. those ones are dead, but no more lock up.

Cheers brotha! Obviously something screwed up when I was trying to load, i did back up my abc, global and combi's and left d out. so I'll try to see if that brings back any of my original sounds.

What I was looking for was a piano sound that was not so "tinny". I have a gp1 sondfount that sounds perfect and converted to Triton LE and that's when all this began. Is there a size issue with pcg files? my sample was 16mb, while i see the sounds in this thing are all under 500kb?

Any reason why the MF stuff is dead or is that dead in yours or sampled to mem I obviously don't have??

Thanks to this point at least, its not locking up anymore!

My fault here, I was nearly unconscious-asleep when posting, I've sent you a Korg TR Preload, not LE. :P

So either try the GLOBAL preload again now and if that doesn't work ask someone to upload a LE default for you.

PCG files are just data of modifications, the samples are the KMP/KSF files, and these ones are the phat mbs.

Could you share piano soundfont?:)

LOL, thought that might of been what happened.

ANyone out there have a default preload of Triton LE they'd be willing to help out with?

Seems like a lot of the same stuff, just organized differently and Bank D is full so if I don't get me default, then my combi's may all be screwed if I start loading samples into D, as I have no idea what the mix is now.

Re the piano, no prob with sharing, would like to make sure it works first. I don't have a server set up for hosting but I will reply later or tomorrow when I can do that. Unless you got Gmail, one can email large files that way as well.

ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE DEFAULT TRITON LE BACKUP??? ANYONE?

OK ALL, I got it figured out.

Should you ever screw up your Triton LE...

Do the following...

Triton LE Initialization: Hold Enter and 0 while turning it on
Preload: Global mode, F8, Select "Preload"

The initialization resets every bank/sound, then when you GO "global" - "load preload/demo data" that will reset all banks to factory default.

I had many tips on doing the glabal preload but all are useless unless you do the initialization first.

cheers and thanks to all.... and Tiayviel, I'll fire you that piano sample should it actually work.. now I can test it at least, lol.

Thanks for all input.
