M3 and General MIDI

I'm trying to play some General MIDI Files using the M3.
These files played perfectly in the past with my Korg Trinity (GM settings loaded).

On the M3 the volume of the GM Drum is too low.
For example the Snare Drum is barely audible even if I put the track volume to 127.

I tried using the IFX Stereo Compressor, now it's better.

Questions:
1) Is there a way to improve GM sound levels? (in particular drum levels)

2) Is there a way to modify the "GM Initialize" settings and save this changes?

3) Is there a way to modify GM Drum Kits? (in global mode I can modify any other Drum Kit but not the GM Drum Kits)
