Anyone got Sony Bravia ?
So i bought a Sony Bravia. Hooked my laptop to it but....
I can´t find out how to remove the audio/video message from the top left on the screen when i´m in pc mode. It says (in 3 lines: PC / ->( .. ) 5 / 1360x768 / 60
Very annoying !
Help appreciated.

Guessing...
Try going into the video setup menu using the supplied remote and see if you can change/remove the display of what looks like a PC monitor setting.
Make sure DISPLAY isn't active on the remote. Some TVs allow you to switch on/off the channel being viewed.
Try setup on the laptop. PCs often have the ability to detect the optimal settings and may be looking for some type of confirmation.
Call Sony tech support.
Break the screen, put it back in the box, take it back to the store, and demand they replace it with an XBR model for selling you a defective set.
Good luck,
Marc

Those SONY's are fantastic.
I've been looking at TV's a lot lately as we need to replace ours, and all the SONY's stood out by miles in all the shops we visited.
The displays were so warm and full of colour. Probably would have ended up going for one only I prefer Plasma.
Regards.

I have the Bravia and it has so many adjustments that you can make. It's nuts. I've hooked up my PC, as well as trying other video components and I've been quite happy with it.Sharp wrote:Those SONY's are fantastic.

Expensive, but worth every penny.
It was interesting to see how plasmas are manufactured.

OK, another ps3 owner here, it's more a blue-ray player than gaming device so far for me, but it's hooked up to my Vizio by Gallevia, an LCD which is very affordable 42 inch lcd with 1080p and 2 hdmi inputs, 2 component inputs, pc input etc. I went with LCD because it's a very bright room and the lcd tvs don't come with the shiny glass front which reflects like a mirror, so this has that non shiny front which allows you to watch in rooms that you can't dim. I love this tv and I paid only 1000 usd for it and no complaints.

Actually I just read this post now.
I'm also having a Sony Bravia for a year now. Loving it and have my PS3 hooked on it with the HDMI, along with the iMac in case I'm watching some movies on Front Row.
Really amazing LCD, I agree
As for the display message, sometimes pressing display a few times solves the problem.. I have the same thing but with a different message
