Yeah just hit it, as much as you can, every day for a long time.

Don't dwell too much on questions, just keep going and exploring each aspect of the box. If you get stuck, just move on.

The EMX is what you are looking for, It is such a powerful machine, and I don't think you will be disappointed.

One thing you will need to know right away is how to increase a pattern from 4 beats to something else (if you want) You can have as many as 32 beats. (8 bars)

Just select pattern from the buttons under the LCD display, and use the arrow keys to the left to select length. Once at length, move your wheel up to whatever you want, anywhere from 1 to 8 bars long. Make sure your pattern is stopped before trying to change the length!

Good luck!

it might also help you to learn a bit of theory about EDM first. and you will have to start listening to songs in a very different way... not just listening to them, but understanding the beat structure, recognizing modulation and effects, and so forth. only then you will be able to recreate something that sounds as good.

you will have no problem sounding like dj Tiesto. No matter how hard I try, it's all my emx ever sounds like.

EMX isnt a sampler, no uploading samples. For that you need an ESX.
